Accordingly, the commentary showcases the exegetical underpinnings of Zanchi’s theological writings. More broadly, this work set the stage for later Reformed theologians like Francis Turretin, Petrus van Mastricht, and Herman Bavinck, who often followed Zanchi’s lead and have increasingly become conversation partners for Reformed theologians, pastors, and lay Christians in the twenty-first century.
